Large Tiger and Mysterious Dragon Red Teapot

TenRen's "Large Tiger and Mysterious Dragon" Red teapot is one of the larger Yixing type teapots. This beautifully simple yet well crafted teapot has been designed to resemble a tiger from the outside. Under the lid of the teapot and on the base of our teapot are our mysterious hiding dragons. This teapot holds about 19 fluid ounces (580 ml.) of water and is about 6.75 inches (17 cm) in length, its base is about 5 inches (12.5 cm) in diameter, and its height is about 4 inches (10 cm).

This teapot is very smooth. It has an inner convex sieve which helps to prevent tea leaves from blocking the flow of the tea through the spout. Made from red clay and fired at a higher temperature for high quality, its high quality can be noted from its high pitched ping when tapping the teapot. This tea pot is ideal for serving semi-fermented teas such as Oolong, King's, Pouchong, and Ti Kuan Yin.
