Ten Ren’s whole leaf organic Japanese sencha is USDA Organic and ECOCERT certified. The tea leaves are intentionally left whole to give the tea a consistent taste. Many tea connoisseurs believe that whole leaves are the best way to enjoy drinking tea. Our organic Japanese sencha is made from fine, unfermented, steamed tea leaves. After the tea leaves are picked, they are immediately processed to stop the fermentation. This gives the tea a light and delicate taste. Use 1 tea bag per cup and pour about 8 ounces of hot water, 70-80C (158-176F), over the tea bag. Steep for about 1-2 minutes or until desired strength. Shipping weight is 0.21 lbs.
